North x North creates wool products that are designed to be functional and reusable. Cut from the same cloth as North x North’s full-size kerchiefs, the merino wool handkerchief provides the same versatility in a more compact design. At 25 by 25 inches and only 2.6 ounces, the cloth is ideal for everyday carry or backpacking. It can be worn as a scarf, bandana, visor, or tourniquet, and used as a fabric tool or extra insulation. The full-size kerchief measures 42 by 42 inches and has dozens of different applications. The kerchief can be worn as a scarf, shawl, bandana, visor, or apron; used as a bag, pot holder, hold/cold compress, cordage, or tourniquet; and brought out in cold, sunny, windy, and buggy climes. Made from ethically sourced Australian merino wool, it’s durable and machine washable, ensuring a long life.
Note: At checkout, choose the handkerchief (base price) or the kerchief (+ $34) in black, charcoal, commando, indigo, or flame.
The folks at North x North (or N x N for short) know the power of merino wool. Naturally antibacterial and odor-resistant, this hardy material keeps the wearer warm while preventing clamminess—and over the years, it’s proven its mettle in arid deserts and arctic climates alike. All of N x N’s wool is ethically sourced from non-mulesed or ceased-mulesed farms in Australia, and sustainably dyed with 40 percent less water than is used in conventional dyeing. Finally, the garments are hand-sewn to perfection at a 25-year-old, family-owned factory right here in the USA.
