If you have a collection of IEMs with MMCX and two-pin connectors, it’s likely many of your IEMs use different connectors from one another—which means your cable of choice may not be compatible across various models. Introducing OE Audio’s line of inexpensive cable adapters Read More
On a ten-point scale of looseness, I would say the original cable of the first drop is perhaps 2-3. The adapter may slightly improve the connection to 1-2 I guess. But my ALO SXC does improve my MD+ sonically, with more punchy low. Yummy.
GettingOLDHD6XX are different 2-pin connectors than the 0.78 mm ones so won't fit. What you can do, if you don't mind using your MMCX cable permanently with 2-pin HD6XX connectors, go buy a pair of Sennheisers HD6XX connectors ( for example on ebay https://www.ebay.com/i/233106710862?chn=ps ) and rewire your MMCX cable with those 2 connectors. Going to cost you maybe 10$ max but then the connection is going to be solid, that is if you can solder connectors.
My confirmation email shows incorrect adapter and not the one I ordered. Everything otherwise says mmcx to 2 pin which I want but the picture shows other option. Only the confirm picture is wrong adapter, is that a known issue? Customer service please respond!
ecleinI don't think you need to worry as long as the description is correct. They probably use the same photo for all orders regardless of configuration. I have found that the picture misrepresents the chosen color of items in the past even though the description was correct.
