The Philips Fidelio X2 open-back headphones retain their popular predecessor’s solid aluminum construction, long-wearing comfort, and smooth, spacious sound—with a few notable improvements. Using X2 with AK 70 since 2,5 years, excellent sound. Yes bulky, yes heavy, yes long cable, yes sound bleeds outside but the sound is there as long as you have good source. These are for home use. Otherwise using Meze 12.
Owners of the fidelio X2!, What is your uptake on the fidelio X2 after 1 or 2 years ? For some reason, I never found the X2 to be that wide, never was to began with. After a while could be my dac, the sound seems to be dampened with less bass response means basslite and more high frequencies emphasis. Anyone agrees ? What amp/dac you using with the X2 ?
Is Massdrop the best and cheapest site for ordering these X2s? Amazon has them for $293 not sure if that’s way too much or what?

Is there something like the X2 but better? The 6xx sounds like Jaws ate up most of the legs.
Purplehearts? Aeon Flow? IS there an IEM that would offer better highs, FH5 maybe? I'm afraid to get burned by a big purchase but tired of skating the high lo-end.
