i bought 2 around $20, both work very well, i did compare with iphone earbuds recording, both are better. maybe you don't need to buy a expansive one.

This is not a good deal. This mic is currently on sale everywhere for $150, plus PreSonus is offering a $30 instant rebate on top when you buy from a retailer. You could pick it up today from Guitar Center or get it shipped to you in 2 days from Sweetwater for effectively $120 with no need to wait a month or buy something else to use up your $22.50 Drop credit.

Not sure why you'd get this. It seems so unversatile and overpriced for what it is. You can get a Samson C01u or an Audio Technica AT2020 with stands and shock mounts for cheaper.

Seems the advantage the Revelator has is the DSP is done locally via the Mic hardware so it doesn't tax your system like a virtual soundcard would.

Just because you have a sound card doesn't mean you have onboard DSP. To have DSP you need an audio-interface (sound card) but not the other way round.
On-board DSP processing is superior to external DSP processing in computer workload and latency, Voicemeeter is good but it has lots of drawbacks (latency, computer chug, sound quality) compared to on-board DSP, the only real benefits to Voicemeeter is the flexibility with routing in your computer for streams etc, the effects are a mild bonus.
The Audio-technica AT2020 (USB version) does not have DSP processing and inferior in many specifications when compared to this Presonus microphone.

So this is $150 everywhere, I can get it next day from Amazon and B&H, why would I wait one month?
