Seiko’s SKX line of divers is nothing short of classic. The dial, with its large lumed hands and hour markers, is easy to read, while the 120-click unidirectional bezel with a coin edge offers a simple method of timing a dive Read More

I got this watch about 2 years ago and really liked it at a glance, after all SKX look has been iconic for many years. I wore it a lot but then I decided to sell it, as some QC issues - bezel alignment and slightly loose, movement going almost a minute fast even after demagnetizing, and actually a very impractical movement overall - started to throw me a bit off of wearing it. While nothing that wasn't fixable really, also having a 6309 ended up with the SKX losing its place in the collection.
I would have kept it as a beater if I didn't have already a few more that I wear more often!
Love my SKX013... I never tire of it, and am easily memerized by the finishing, the versatility and the ingenuity of design. This, coupled with my SARB033 and my SNA411 give me a great collection I feel I'm blessed to have.
Packaged really well, watch is very nice. Not a huge fan of the rubber dive strap, so I changed to steel, but it was comfortable to wear. Watch keeps great time and has the bulletproof reliability that you expect from a Seiko.
Nothing I can say here that hasn’t already been said, I think. Things I wish were different about the SKX: winding/hacking movement, and drilled lugs. Changing bracelets or straps on this thing is a bitch. For the money though, Between this and an islander, I think I’d rather buy the islander. It comes with all the best upgrades already (sapphire, solid links, etc)
Much smaller than i expected, a 5mn shift every day so it needs adjustments regularly. days of the week in arabic/english and the optional bezel is not mounted. no instructions, up to you to search for a solution and replace it by yourself.
Love this watch! Been wanting this one for years. Welcome addition to the collection!

Great watch but running slow. Below expectations
Friends, NOTE before buying this watch: This is my first seiko and it arrived in pristine condition. Pro:
Looks very cool on NATO strap.
Day of the week available in French and English.
Cool smooth movement
Cons:
battery reserve seems to only last about 20 hrs. If I don't wear it two days in a row I have to re set it. The main complaint is that I noticed it's running about 5 mins slow after about 9 days which I think is unacceptable. I have looked online for a solution some suggest professional regulation while one blog suggested laying the watch on its side (crown up) during the night to speed it up while laying it flat to slow it down. I'm skeptical but am considering trying it. I usually don't complain but I thought I should share this so that caveat emptor and/or perhaps others have the same problem and a solution. (I had a fake Rolex self winding long ago which kept better time than this seiko. I welcome your suggestions.) Thanks
Edit: (After speaking with Drop's customer service) Drop only has a 30 day return window. In addition they customer service rep claimed that this watch did NOT come with a warranty. I would recommend buying this watch elsewhere and pay slightly more with a warranty and/or guarantee of keeping more accurate time.
I bought 2 of these in the last 3 years. I bought the second one thinking my first one was a dude. WRONG Both watches ran slow and lost time immediately upon delivery to me. I wore them 24/7 including when running on the treadmill and hiking in the desert and hills around Las Vegas. I'm talking at least 5 minutes a month. Both times I sent the watch into Seiko for evaluation. Both times the "repair" costs exceed the price to buy another one. Neither time did Seiko offer a replacement.

JeffVNI have the same problem bro. I just posted a comment about this 15.08.19. One suggestion online I found was to leave it on its side (crown up) at night to speed up the lost time during the day. wtf? What was the final conclusion?
