5 Sturdy Barrel-Shaped Seiko Classics
Seiko’s Prospex line of “turtle” dive watches has achieved cult status in the watch community. Worn by enthusiasts and newcomers alike, these barrel-shaped watches keep excellent time and can take a beating in the field—and thanks to their chunky, lumed indices and hands, they’re easy to read in low-visibility settings. On this run, we’re highlighting five different models from the collection, including a few with the smaller 42-millimeter case (a sweet spot for many watch fans). Of all five pieces offered, each is made with a 200-meter water-resistant stainless steel case and features either a 4R36 or 4R35 caliber automatic movement. Fitted with unidirectional rotating bezels, all watches can track elapsed time underwater or on the move. Each also has a window to track the date and a screw-down crown.
