Free Range Beats
Within the ergonomic metallic silver housing, each monitor rocks dual high definition MicroDrivers- a dedicated single woofer and tweeter per channel. With Shure behind the wheel, you already know the mids will be smooth and strong, but the lows wow as well with decent punch and tight control. The highs can be slightly washed out and decay quickly, but a little equalization or a DAC will balance that right out. Overall, the instruments stay separated, the soundstage is solid for an IEM, and the overall audio is lush and powerful without getting too intense.
The Customizer is Always Right
As the SE425 features low impedance, they are ideal for portable use, particularly with an iPhone or other smart phone. The detachable cable features formable wire near the ear, letting you move the cable into just the right place and keep it there. Each end plugs into the monitors through gold-plated MMCX connectors, and the cable ends in a 1/8” audio jack. For further customization, Shure included a whole slew of sleeves and tips, including their signature yellow foam sleeves. A complete package of stellar sound and complete customization, the Shure SE425 Isolating IEMs have found just the right sound for anyone on the go.
