A 24-track workstation that allows eight tracks of simultaneous recording, the Tascam DP-24SD offers a complete digital studio solution. The built-in mixer has everything you need for professional sound mixing, including EQ, reverb, amp simulation, and multi-band mastering effects. The full-color LCD displays tracks, meters, and effects parameters, while eight XLR mic/line inputs each provide phantom power for condenser microphones, switchable in banks of four. Sound on Sound says, “The DP24 should prove a hit with many users, as it offers an efficient set of tools in a convenient and portable package. It should thus enable anyone to record and produce reasonably sophisticated demos very easily, and to create physical copies of their work.
