These look a lot like Tiandirenhe iems on aliexpress that are way cheaper. I have the Tiandirenhe TD06 2020 (The ones with gold/carbon black faceplates) and I am very happy with them, I am a bit afraid these are just the same iems with an inflated price tag.
jsmiller58Obviously I can't confirm anything without buying them and comparing them but the fact that several other iem look and sound similar (if you look up the review of those on head-fi you will find they are all wery warm and bass heavy) makes me think they all come from the same oem, so spending 100 on those tfz may not be worth it if very similar iems can be found for way cheaper on aliexpress.
Hmm. These look exactly like every resin model on Aliexpress. 20 something dollar Open Heart Resins are definitely the most comfortable IEM I own. Without some reviews to base it off though, I'm not sure if I need my *millionth* "good for the price" IEM.
At this price point I'm sure there are a bunch of people in the same position.
Found a review in Chinese, had Google do a little translation magic (which kills me being bilingual but not between English/Chinese... I hate you and love you, Google translate)... I’m buying a pair. I’ve got some rewards money to ease the blow to the wallet... I had the No.3 for a long time, loved them, and the review I read said that these were more refined but still bassy compared to the 3 so BOOM buying them.
They haven’t shipped yet, as far as I can tell. That’s the one thing with Drop that gets to me. If I didn’t have a bunch of points to use up, I wouldn’t have purchased them through here despite the discount. Time is money, you know? Waiting a few days vs. waiting for possibly 2 months? The discount had to be steep.
I don’t think they need jurisdiction... just a sample of the product they’re trying to sell. Headphones.com does reviews of what they sell, and it helps their business. Drop is missing sales here by selling stuff that is by many metrics a total gamble.
