I just need to say this....I tried this DAC AMP NX4 DSD from Topping. Only takeaway, I feel, is volume. It basically just amplifies the output signal but provides nothing else. Now I understand that may be the point for some. For me I was looking for a volume boost, yes, plus a better more controlled sound stage along with less noise. A device that really presents the audio signal cleanly and more robust. This DAC is all over the place. By the way, just looking at the device itself it has no indication of file type being played. That's a problem. With all the new DSD 512 files and MQA tracks how do you know it's not just up or down sampling the signal to PCM? You dont. Right. From a purely functional point of view, you cant. Im not a Fiio biased guy or anything, however, I took a chance on the new Fiio K3 and haven't looked back since. Granted there is no battery in the K3. So I've been able to power all my devices while using it. Just need to be a little creative. I have a mini alumiminum silver circular non powered USB A to USB C hub that works great. I use that along with my Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 and Note 9. The Fiio K3 along with a portable backlit mini keyboard AND power to the playback device too. The K3 has more visul LED indicator colors in regard to file being played. It presents a cleaner more robust sound and higher quality hardware overall hardware. I've also just ordered an Xduoo XD-05 with built in 4000 mah battery. It also comes with a very useful small OLED screen. I want to know I am getting all of what is being played, not just LED on and off indicators. Worst part about the NX-4 is battery. Its hard to confirm the battery power hold time or charge time as my device never held a charge from jump. The NX-4 just has an indicator red LED when low...not just low, like 5 minutes left. All in I feel its an unpolished product rushed to market and certainly not worthy of the audiophile status.

dcimeHow would you compare the Xduoo with the Fiio K3 and the NX4?
