Garbage
Why would Massdrop keep selling such junk. The wire inside the cheap shoelace material is the thinnest you can buy anywhere. Refunds should be issued to all who have purchased.
some people say this is not good cable !
I need XLE cable to my HD6xx (HD650)
can u please recommend for me a really good one ?
Sennheiser XLR cable is too expensive $250 :(
Just FYI, I gave away (for free) my VECLAN cable. The sleeves for the HD6XX connectors rubbed against my clavicles so badly it was not worth it anymore.
And I don’t want to even start on the stupendous amount of microphonics this stupid thing generates. Absolutely ridiculous cables.
Just received this via a previous batch @ 59.99USD
Got mine in a HD6XX Cable 1.8m - 4 Pin Balanced - configuration.
I was very excited as this is my very 1st custom sleeved/braided cables.
Not knowing what to expect, I opened the package and was greeted with a mixed bag of feelings.
(3 out of 5 stars is my verdict with my limited knowledge)
Aside from the obvious reasons of buying a cool looking custom braided cable, here is my Summary:
- Connectors (2-pin to HD6XX headphone fit) are tighter than the originals
- Connectors 2-pin gold points look to be less refined than the originals (lower quality?)
- XLR connector appears slightly dull / less polished than I had hoped (lower quality?)
- Left Cable is slightly longer than Right Cable (see pic compared - but given it is custom braided, can be forgiven)
- Y point is just a shrink plastic material, could maybe do something better there...
- Braiding seems more loosely threaded than originally seen in the product photos. (maybe it is a change of material used? or maybe just less workmanship time spent here to meet supply demand?)
Nevertheless I still appreciate workmanship and whoever made it has my thanks.
Overall, it is an OK product, maybe I had too high expectations for it to be of high quality product...
BUT it is usable and checks off its most basic functionality and for looking Cool =)
