Can you change the strap on the rubber model easily with custom straps?
Also, is the battery easily replacable?

DVGNLYep, the strap can be changed with a spring bar tool and the battery can be accessed with a caseback opener. Both of these can be done at home if you know what to do and have the tools.

The strap shown is black rubber, how does the black leather strap (as in the option) look like? Thanks.

zeebeeThat was an error on our part. There's no leather strap option in this drop. We just changed the option name to Rubber strap!

I bought this watch in the previous drop and need it serviced since I've been having an issue with it stopping from time to time. Is the warranty valid or will I have to pay for it myself? If valid, what do I need to provide to the servicer?

lobsterYep, solid end links on the SS models. The rubber strap also has a sculpted connection point, so everything feels integrated.

sholimarThank you. I have ordered for a while. I am looking for the watch on my hand. Hope that it is an appreciated decision :)

Sholimar, how difficult was it to replace the strap? I'm hoping to replace it with a NATO style strap.

FlipdoubtIt wasn't hard at all - you can do it yourself if you have a spring bar tool, or you can also use a careful hand and a very thin knife to latch on to the spring bars and remove them. The spring bar holes are a bit high up (they're not where you would expect them - down near the end of the lugs, they're higher up), so a NATO strap won't look as good if you have very thin wrists (tried it and didn't like the look, but my wrists are 6.2").
So, it's easy to do, and if you don't have very thin wrists it'll look perfectly fine. :)
If, like me, you have the wrists of an 8-year old girl, then I recommend a normal, black leather strap - the watch will look classier and it'll "hug" the wrist better than a NATO.

I like VSA as a brand but (as illustrated by the huge drop from MSRP here) their watches tend to be overpriced for what you get. Too bad the automatic isn't available on this drop.
