The WASD V2 Barebones is a discreet no-frills Cherry MX keyboard. It comes in a tenkeyless or fullsize layout with your choice of Cherry MX switches, allowing you to fine-tune it however you like. Made with an ABS case, it’s strong and angled for a comfy feel at the keys. The base is fitted with rubber feet to keep it steady on your desktop, too. The keyboard's sleek design comes with no logo and has red LED indicators. It also comes with dip switches so you can switch between Dvorak and Colemak layouts. Absent of keycaps, the barebones keyboard allows you to pair it with your own set, like the Massdrop x Hasbro XDA Scrabble Custom Keycap Set.
Note: At checkout, choose between a tenkeyless and a fullsize (+ $8) keyboard. You will also have your choice of Cherry MX Black, Blue, and Red (+ $4) switches.
The beauty of this keyboard is that it comes with your choice from four different Cherry MX switches. First up are the linear Cherry MX Blacks, which have no tactile feedback unless the switch is "bottomed out," meaning the switch is pressed all the way down. They’re relatively heavy and great for gaming thanks to quick actuation. Next are Cherry MX Blues, which offer tactile feedback and make a loud clicking sound with each press. Last but not least are Cherry MX Reds. Almost identical to blacks, they’re linear without feedback and slightly lighter, meaning they have less resistance with each press.
