More premium looks and sound than I expected
I have the Cavali Hybrid as well as the Liquid Carbon and yes, I had to add the THX 789 to my exaggerated collection. I am using a Burson Swing DAC with the V6 vivid and I can say without a doubt, it's the best sounding setup I've experienced yet. The power comes on in a way the others can't match. I belive the main culprit is the very high quality power supply. The clarity, imaging and sound stage are the stand out. Dynamics are similar to the THX but with more heft and way less fatiguing. I was seriously considering selling my HD 800s but I am holding off. The claims of how important amp matching is to the HD800s becomes very evident using this amp. The strident nature of the HD800s miraculously seems to dissolve away. Still, I think the best match is with the T1. Expensive? Yes, but a well worth investment. It makes my other amps seem almost unnecessary.

czremHD800s is not a very picky headphone by any means. Ever since they tame the 6k. You can use just about any amp and it would sound good. The original HD800 is a different story. That headphone does require a certain amp to get the most out of it. I know this because I owned both headphones. Please upload a pic of your setup of the Burson Dac and the fireflies, so we can view it.
