This is my second tube a/b amp, also own a Bravo Audio v2. This little amp is great plenty of power for even the HD6xx. It really makes the HD6xx come alive, they are a little bit too neutral for my taste. It stays much cooler than my Bravo Audio V2 having a small child the Bravo Audio gets a bit too hot for my liking. This amp stays much cooler.
The tiny size of this thing is great for saving desk space. The 3.5mm input is really handy and makes this amp usable without having to buy an expensive DAC along with it. I've been running it out of the headphone jack on my monitor for the past few months and it sounds great. It's definitely a good starter amp and a good intro to tube amps. The sound is airy and light but still packs a punch in the bass. It's a significant improvement over audio direct from the monitor. It packs enough punch to get uncomfortably loud in my meze 99 neos and I haven't even turned it up past half for fear of blowing them out. It's great for low and high impedance.
If you are looking for a decent start to find, this might be it. It comes with some great features for the price and the look is sleek. It also can drive many headphones. Would recommend 100%
An amazing little unit that powers my HD6xx. Running it off of Audioengine D3 and will be upgrading my DAC somewhere down the line. The build quality is great and it sounds really good with GE JAN 5654W.
Great value, sounds really good and surprisingly detailed for an inexpensive tube amp. Exceeded my expectations. I use it with my turntable for a pure (mostly) analog set up.
This amp is worth it for the looks alone having glowing tubes and flipping a physical switch to turn on the unit
makes the music sound 15% better! The only other amp I have to compare this to is a schiit magni heresy this sounds slightly warmer and slightly noisier. If I could describe the sound it would be warm and fun!
