I have multiples of each kind, "Ray". You can question, or suspect my forest cred as much as you want.
That's your perogative. I'm an Oregon native (all 46 years, aside from travel in military) that grew up in, Tyee and Glide.
You assume the end goal and distance of backpacking is always the same. I'll chalk that one up to inexperience on your part.

If you read the entire thread, Ranger Duber, you'd realize I didn't insert myself into the conversation, I was there at the beginning--pointing out what an idiotic product this was, and trying my damndest to prevent people like you from rationalizing its purchase by claiming they were big-time campers who might find the tool useful in the event they become lost in the woods or were attacked by a pack of killer--weasels. I can see I failed miserably in your case and offer you my heart-felt condolences.

No, I'm talking about the battle flag of the Army of Northern Virginia. It was never a flag of The Confederacy (or CSA).
(Yes, we're talking about the same flag, but these "Southern Heritage" idgits don't understand that it was never a flag of the Confederacy and that its use in modern times stems directly from use as a racist symbol of segregation and subjugation.)
BTW, I find those "Treason Day" items funny. And things would have been very different in North America if either one of those rebellions had gone the other way.

I'm pretty sure that's the best link ever posted on Massdrop, or "Drop," whatever. Actual scholarship. Whoda thunk we'd find it here? Obviously just skimmed it over this visit, but I Bookmarked it and plan on seeing if actual truth about the confederacy, the US Constitution and the men and women of the South is included there, considering that it's scholarship from the University of Ohio. Looks like an interesting link though. Thanks for it.

According to their website... "Coated in Pure Gold + wood grain acrylic". I assume that means it's plated. Also it looks like you forgot to change users when you replied to yourself.

I think this is the stupidest thing I've ever seen here. I could actually see someone buying one of these so he could say to his friends "Hey, you want to see the stupidest thing in the known universe?". It would be a good laugh for everyone, until they found out you paid half a C-note for it, at which point they would say "You're the stupidest person I've ever known!".
