I don't yet understand what's the rotating disc for... my best guest it's the seconds and the red 🖐🏻 is the GMT. Otherwise, the design is awful because there's a huge gap between the 2️⃣4️⃣ markers and the GMT indicator.
Also, I'm curious regarding the GMT adjusting mechanism. If you use the 👑@🕑 to rotate the bezel, then I guess you can't move the GMT 🖐🏻 and that GMT bezel rotates as you usually find in a 🌎 time ⌚
Anyway, this is surely a "Desk GMT" type of ⌚
Lastly, I find a little bit misleading that 1️⃣ year manufacturer's warranty you get here. If you buy from an AD you get 3️⃣ years https://us.alpinawatches.com/pages/warranty
MarPablThis is a travellers GMT, I have one. The lockable crown @ 1 does rotate the bezel. The GMT hand/disc moves with the minute hand. The hour hand can be moved independently of all other hands. Basically, the same as Tudor BB GMT or Rolex GMT 2. It’s not a desk GMT like the ETA movements
These prices on their Alpina Spotlight are horrible. I was a huge fan of Alpina and Frederique Constant (their sister brand) watches, but won't buy them now unless they're at least 70% off now, which is not hard to find. In terms of quality, both brands gave me maintenance issues higher than average when compared to other brands. Been a few years since I've owned one, so I'm not sure if their QC has improved. However, these prices on Drop are a joke!
Another drop and again a price that's higher that Amazon in Canada and at least a month's wait. It seems just like the Bulova brand showcase drop from months ago that they're hoping no one checks the net for other options. It's too bad for sure.
