can I PM you my details?!
i haven’t got an A&K player either, I can wait till Christmas if there is a chance that you’d include one with these headphones... (saves postage)
more seriously; how would that be different to giving a different postal address for sending? (Keep the receipt seperate or something) sure I am missing something, but happy to learn...
thinking a Nuforce/Optoma udp3 is just about cheap enough to share :-) (Thinking my neighbour would benefit as would be a huge upgrade on their laptop sound)
anyone gifted via drop before?
This is a typical desktop headphone, 300g+ weight, you can't "mobile" it. 32ohms therefore is awkward. Meanwhile, there is another 32ohm headphone from beyerdynamic called T5p.
Billy-BobbyThese are technically semi-open, but sound more closed than open. Soundstage is a bit narrower than on DT1990. Also, AK T1p is easier to drive and significantly brighter. Soundsignature has a more pronounced V-shape than the DT1990. If you find DT1990 boring, you may enjoy the livelier AK T1p. However, if you are sensitive to sibilance and have a decent amp, DT1990 is hard to beat at around $500.
Seems to me these are rated at 32Ohms, the output impedance of the DV is at the least 50Ohms. Not a good ratio and they won’t sound good. On the hybrid tube amps I have these headphones will work, but I would want to use these on my DV.
NateBYou were referencing the 600 ohm T1, I was just bringing up the T1's power needs to hit 120 or so db. Also pointing out that the rating at 32 ohms power spec may not definitively tell you how well it will drive the T1. It's fairly sensitive but the impedance curve spikes around 1000 ohms so sufficient voltage may not be delivered by some amps.
At least 2yr Beyerdynamic warranty should have been provided...but a 32 ohm version for the flasgship t1 at $500 is not a bad deal, soon we'll get to see a 250 ohm Beyer t1...much like the dt edition beyers..32, 250 and 600 ohm versions....if Beyer launches a 600 ohm Amiron Home then it will be an interesting thing... headphone killer
