After plugging in through the USB or optical input, the D1 bypasses your computer or television’s sound card in favor of a superior processing system. Known for its low noise and high fidelity, the integrated AK4396 DAC chip can handle up to 192 kHz or 24bit output. When coupled with double redundancy power conversion, a high quality optical receiver (CS8416), and a well-recognized USB controller (the TI1020B), you experience more vivid details and a wider soundstage than ever before.
Impedance Progress
To make sure your D1 maintains its sterling sound through powered speakers and headphones alike, the unit comes with an integrated TI OPA2134 low opamp, guaranteeing you high fidelity audio for cans with impedance as low as 20 Ohms.
