This is a fantastic little device, which sounds great. The volume nob can fell small at times but nothing too major. The only other negative i have is the units relativly short battery life, but it's to be expected from a class A amp. It's just a great sounding little protable class A amp, very good!
This amp produces a full warm and rich sound. It is fairly large and tends to get very warm after 30 minutes in a backpack. Nonetheless, if you are looking for a solidly built, powerful, and attractive portable amp, with a slightly warm coloration to it, this is a good choice.
The Aune B1s Portable Headphone Amp is a welcome addition to my music experience. The detail warmth and extreme clarity this Amp provides is something to be experienced. Well constructed, good looks, and ease of use gives this amp my complete endorsement.
Those contemplating this purchase must check your headphone impedance in order to optimize your experience.
Battery life consist on Class A to be 6 Hours. If you need to go longer without a charge, bring a battery pack with you. It's worth the extra effort in sound quality that you will receive. The price of $149.99 was well worth it.
Within a week, I lost the power switch. It just fell out. I have no idea where it went or if it was even possible to lose it. Now I realized that the other two switches all use the same type of plastic caps and that if you pry at it with your finger it WILL come out.
The biggest problem is, I am changing the switches around in order to still be able to turn it on, but I can find NO REPLACEMENTS anywhere for it. Please help massdrop.
renrenrenI have ordered 2 sets (6 total) switch caps from Aune's Chinese support and had it mailed it to the USA by a forwarding company. Total cost was close to 50USD. This shouldn't be a problem yet it is. Upon inspecting the switch caps, it seems like since the tooling is done, it'll take mere pennies to manufacture.
Great quality construction. Sounds smooth , low noise but wish the output was higher on both gain settings. Definitely worth the price paid here on Massdrop.
