Are the BeyerDynamic DT 770 Pro headphones advertised the STUDIO models as shown in the pictures? I see Drop has offered the Pro models, the Limited Edition, and the STUDIO models in the past. Are there any differences other than the black velour pads Vs grey and the 80 vs 250 Ohm rating?
quicklytoo4Huh, This is contrary to what I was told by Adam from Drop Community Support, here!
Thanks for your patience. I have confirmed for you that the headphones ordered are indeed the Pro version with the grey earcups. The images showing the "studio" version are only to show the other profiles. I have let the product team know that this is causing a bit of confusion and may need to be updated, or a note left indicating that the Pro version will be shipped. To assist and confirm what your headphones will look like, I've included an image from the product (DT 770 Pro) page deck (5/5) that shows the actual version.Adam
GaryReg.caRemember how Drop works... Here you order what you want and when they finally decide to ship it (if they ship it at all) you get whatever they decided to send. Besides, by the time it arrives you will have forgotten what you ordered in the first place.
ThesesuckWell you called that wrong "thesesuck". I received my DT770 (80Ω) headphones today. They were Delivered to my door, by Canada Post, 3 weeks from the day I ordered them (arrived 3 weeks earlier than the estimate). There was no tax, duty or handling fees and they were $97 Canadian less than the best price in Canada.
And oh by the way they sound great! A little brighter in the high end than my HD58x cans; Also Drop. About the same bass as far as I can tell after matching the levels.
quicklytoo4You were right, "quicklytoo4". and Adam was wrong! I received my DT770 (80Ω) headphones today. They ARE IN FACT STUDIO models as shown in the picture in spite of Adam, (Drop Community Support) verifying they would be Pro models! Oh well as I understand it they are the same product.
quicklytoo4The coiled cable is only on the 250 Ω version. All other DT770 models have the 3 m straight cable which is BTW a really nice rubberized cable which coils up nicely.
GaryReg.caI find the rubberized straight cable to be a bit of a PITA and has a mind of its own when it comes to coiling. Other than that it's a really good set of cans at this price point. I wish the "ear hole" was a bit larger since my ear lobe gets pinched after extended listening. Paired with a Topping Dx3 Pro+ .
