Well, try the 990 pros on amazon then? $200 and they should be the same headphones, they just look different.

ScopezYeah they're an option. I'm really keen on the 600 Ohm version, so there is the premium, but the limited edition is just so much better looking (and cheaper) so I'll just wait on it to have another run. Thanks anyway!

For the folks that already own this - what's the headband like? I have a pair of DT770 Pros, and I figure if the headband is bad I can just take off the shroud of those and put it on the 990, but is the clamping force good? Also, does anyone have a good idea of what these sound like compared to the dt770 pro 80ohm?

Currently cheaper on the Beyerdynamic Website. Add a bit more for mail forwarding and you'd probably still have it sooner. I don't know why Drop bothers with deals like this...?

Different model that one though. That's the DT990 Pro, whereas this is the DT990 Premium. Pretty much the same, but the Premium isn't plastic like the Pro.

Almost joined in until I see the 250 ohm version is the only option this drop. Why only 250 ohm version? The 600 ohm is supposed to be the best of all three versions.

MusicLoverI think the dt990 600ohm black limited edition is gone forever! I have been looking for one since November 2019. No luck. Sometimes you can find in eBay the dt990 600 chrome edition used.

Alfredo3001Yeah it's kind of a shame that the 600 Ohm versions are disappearing. I still wonder about getting a 600 Ohm DT880 because of the more neutral sound signature, but I lucked out buying a DT990 600 Ohm Chrome for 160 USD back in March of last year. It's still my favorite and sounds oh-so-good on the Project Polaris that has ample power at 600 Ohms and the option to switch the output impedance to 120 Ohms which a lot of Beyers seem to be optimal for.

ScottP67I’ll sell you mine if your still looking. Great condition with all original packaging. Nothing wrong with them, I just prefer my 6xx and haven’t used the DT990 much over the past few months.

Note states 250 ohms, but images and specs list 600 ohm. Anyone know which it will actually be?!

By the way, the specs section still says 600ohms even though the note says 250ohm version.
