As far as umbrellas go, it's pretty great. I'm a little off-putt by these glowing reviews. It's an umbrella! A really good one, but it's just an umbrella. I had no idea that so many people fetishized these things. It'll keep me dry when it rains and in the shade in the summer. My only complaint is the lack of a candy cane handle.

TheOtherJayI feel empowered when I carry the umbrella. It has kind of become my best friend. I take it wherever I go. I was dating a girl for 6 months when she started ragging on me about my umbrella. Said I had security issues. Well she said, "the umbrella or me". I still have the umbrella. Nuff said.

The best umbrella i've ever had. The classic is bigger in size than the metro version. I thought its way too big until i started using it. Covers me and my backpack perfectly. It is pricey but worth the price.

Smaller than I had hoped to

I thought this umbrella was going to five me better coverage but it didn't. Still is enough for daily use but if you really need more coverage go with the Metro instead. The umbrella is very well made, I added a tile on it for safety and wind-wise, won't definitely bend as cheap umbrellas you get at your local grocery store.

I joined the mass drop from a year or two back for the Blunt Metro umbrella. I loved it and sometime down the line the cap fell off and they replaced the umbrella, so their customer service is excellent. I decided I needed a larger umbrella for when the rain is going to be a little more insistent. So upon seeing a new Massdrop for the larger umbrella, I went ahead and jumped on it. I love the larger size, it feels durable and can handle NYC storms. I especially like the sling which makes it much easier to carry around. I very much recommend the classic.

We are now fans of Blunt. They are not inexpensive, but they are very high quality umbrellas. We now have three of them. When the XL ones come up again, we'll probably get another. And MassDrop/Drop has had the best prices on them.

I have the smaller, commuter (Metro) version of the Blunt umbrella and it's been fantastic! holds up to the everyday grind of work/life in Manhattan and hasn't failed due to wind. As such, I knew I needed to purchase a larger version for walking my dog, once I saw the drop. Easily the best umbrella(s) I've ever owned and MUCH better than buying those crappy tourist-trap umbrellas. Well worth the money and I highly recommend them!
