Any update on this? I got an automated email that it's been delayed, but I was hoping for a little more information.

have we gotten any other update? My tracking number just says "pending/does not exist" since I got it 2 weeks ago. edit 06/19/20: just arrived. I stopped checking and was surprised this morning!

Dago75I've heard people praise Mullard E88CC/6922 tubes on a few forums, supposedly they have really nice bass, specifically ones from the Blackburn factory.

Hey guys, i'm quite new in the tube world and i wanted to ask if the tube in the amp is a pre amplifier tube. And if someone can suggest another tube, mabye from the new old stok market. thank you so much guys!

Hmm well it looks like the V1 comes with the EH6922 tube, which is also a preamp tube, so I think both are hybrid amps.

agrigasYou might be right but that's not how the marketing seems on amazon. I got this from the v2 page "NO OP amp or IC in this circuit, which can introduce unexpected distortion to the sound." Whereas the v2 is marketed as a hybrid amp. I am unfamiliar with the terminology but that's the impression I got when I purchased it about 4 years ago

I have one of these, I knew what I was buying (it just uses the tube as a passthrough to color the sound) but I was still disappointed. doesn't sound very good

rsheldiii12can you check if the power adapter supports only 110 or 110-240? this will be very helpful

Would this work as a preamp for a turntable? I'm not very knowledgeable on these things.

Karson1No. It’s not a phono preamp.

Karson1I have to say the input impedance is fairly high and so it potentially could but it definitely isn't designed for being used as a preamp. There would be lots of problems that arise from trying to use this as a dedicated preamp and it may need lots of modifications. I wouldn't recommend it unless you know a decent amount about electronics

Any issues pairing tube amps with planar headphones, e.g. Hifiman Sundara?

morndeweywaste of time and headphones. Buy something decent.

morndeweyTube amps would and should work no differently with planar and dynamic headphones in a sense that it amplifies power going to the headphones which in turn makes the headphones create sound. The sound might be affected differently than it would to dynamic headphones as the impedance graph would be different but thats probably about it.

I am a newb and have what is probably a pretty stupid question - looking to upgrade the music experience from my MacBook and am interested in this V1 Headphone amp. Do I need to get a DAC to connect to this as well?

You sound pretty presumptuous. I've not been singing praises about it - just providing helpful insight if he does want this AMP. Could be he doesn't have the money you'd gladly spend, though its so kind of you to suggest we spend it anyway. Maybe the value of a dollar has been lost on you or you never understood that concept at all. So this may be a cheap mistake of an AMP to know if he likes it or not. Either way, you can be a prick, doesn't mean I don't understand the value that this AMP MAY bring to him at a cheap price so he can drive his headphones - something a pre-AMP may not be able to do.

WolframmeWrap a turd in a bow and it’s still a turd. As for understanding money....I’m the one recommending stick to current setup instead of wasting money on an item that he will gain no benefit. You are suggesting splashing $’s on this a tube amp while anyone with any idea know why reputable tube amps don’t sell for under $50. Good luck!

It would be good to know the actual output impedance. What is listed seems to be the load impedance range.

I have a Sabaj DA3 and I'd like to use it with this as it has a DAC and it has an AMP that suits my Sennheiser 6XX's well. I need its DAC as my computer's is horrible, it sputters awful noises constantly. For the wise and knowledgeable, I have two questions: 1: Would it be alright to use what I have for now and hook up my Sabaj DA3 to the BRAVO AUDIO V1 or could issues arise? 2: Does anyone have any experience using this with the Sennheiser 6 series headphones and how was it?

That's true, it has improved the sound quality on everything I have tried it on, if you are comparing it to a setup that is thousands of dollars it wont compare but it is much better than the price indicates
