I noticed as well.
My feeling is, they want authenticity, carry your lunch in a paper sack and hold it by the top fold.
Just in a very high quality bag.
Now if someone will make me a high quality bindel, my look will be complete.

I hear what you are saying, however this is the kind of swanky peter that compliments one's fine boot, watch, or pen collection. It is easier, perhaps even more practical to rock a soft cooler with a handle from the Wally World and wear comfortable New Balanaces... but where's the fun and swag in that?

It does look very attractive, however no good way to carry it, no way to attach the drink portion to the main bag, and no insulation to keep things at the preferred temperature means that this would be very eye catching atop my refrigerator whist I go to work with my ugly-yet-functional $10 WalMart special.

My lunch bag arrived yesterday and it looks fantastic. It is already developing a couple of the "character creases" you expect from waxed cotton and the closure strap can be used as an ad hoc carrying handle. It's a bit bigger than I expected -- which is good, but you might want to compare the dimensions with something you already own.
Overall a great drop. This product isn't available at retailers in my area (Canada) and the Massdrop price beats the manufacturer's website. Thanks!
