The CAD Audio CX1 is a no-frills, all-quality audio interface that occupies a shockingly small footprint and delivers crystal clear audio recording right to your desktop. Its combination XLR-and-quarter-inch input provides a solid platform for recording vocals, voiceovers, or mic’d instruments, as well as an option for plugging a guitar or keyboard line right in. You can hook up the CX1 to your studio monitor array as well via the RCA right/left outputs on the back, and it connects up to your computer using a USB-C cable. There’s even 48V phantom power baked right in, so there’s even enough juice to power high-end condenser microphones, gain boosters, and more.
