In the south of France, the medieval town of Carcassonne became famous for its imposing citadel that withstood millennia of history. The greater town was built around the fortress, providing Rio Grande Games with the inspiration for their award-winning Carcassonne Board Game. In the Carcassonne Bundle, we are offering four stand-alone spinoffs and an expansion that take the game to entirely new territories while preserving the game play that you love.

Prove Your Wiles With Tiles

The game itself is simple. Starting with one tile in the center, players take turns drawing additional tiles and matching them to the board. The tiles come in different terrains- such as roads, fields, and cities- and once a formation is completed, a player can place one of their followers on the space to gain victory points. Once all of the tiles have been played, the terrain features and followers are added up and the player with the most victory points wins the game.

Expand Your Horizons

The Dice Game and the Card Game both adapt the original game play to dice and card versions, respectively. The Castle takes place in the city of Carcassonne itself, translating the normal tiles to paths, towers, houses, and other city structures. Discovery is a simpler version of the original, taking the action to a new region that players must colonize. Finally, the Carcassonne Games Quarterly Magazine Tiles Expansion gives you 2 river tiles and 10 previously unseen tiles to supplement the original Carcassonne.
