There is a trivial error in the description, stating that the speakers require an input from an integrated amp. These passive speakers require input from an amp integrated amp or from a system with a pre amp and a power amp.

MechansYeah, true. Technically, all it needs is a power amp, though you'd have no volume control obviously. Also, as I'm sure as you know, by definition, an integrated amp is just a pre-amp and power amp in one unit.
