That Topping is based on the Tripath TA 2020 chip, a popular chip, but slightly older by today's standards. Distortion is still kind of high. We have something better ;)

CEntrancePrice is my main issue right now because I just spent $150 on an O2 amp and do not have much left. I'm really looking for something around $100. Would you be able to deliver something at that price range?
Also, how is the distortion on the TK 2050 chip on the TP22?

CEntranceVery cool you guys are building an amp, seemingly at a whim based on the concerns here! Being class D, would it have a common/shared or separate grounds? If separate, would shorting the grounds create magic smoke? Someone has already mentioned, but I'd like to point out the movement towards using a speaker amp to drive planar magnetic headphones like the Hifiman HE-500 on the Head-Fi community. The amp of choice currently is the Emotiva MiniX a-100 because it is relatively cheap, and has a common ground so people can connect the TRS plugs of their headphones with the amp, either through connector wires, or some have even modded the amp to have a 1/4" headphone output. I have personally experienced this combo, and it far outperforms its price compared to headphone amps. Speaker amps give planar magnetics a bass slam and impact headphone amps just can't seem to give.
If you guys haven't finalized plans for this amp yet, I'd recommend researching the feasibility of adding a 1/4" headphone output that will utilize the 25W of power (much less of course at the higher impedance of headphone, but still great for planar magnetics). If you can can create a comparable speaker amp as the MiniX, but with a smaller form factor (biggest negative the MiniX has is its size) and a built-in headphone output, I'm sure it will be quite a hit on the Head-Fi community!

SonidoWow... Crowd sourcing for real! Thanks for that. Will research.
And thanks for the link with the pics -- that emotiva amp is rather large indeed...
