coming from Audioengine P4's will these be a big step up? Any advice on mounting to bookshelf stands? Compared to the ribbon tweeter in the Martin Logan Motion 15's how do these speakers stack up overall. I loved how the motion 15's sound but are these similar at all? These have a planar ribbon tweeter vs the folded ribbon in the motions.

I haven't heard the P4's so can't give a direct comparison but will give my opinion.
I don't know how the quality of sound would compare between these. But the P4's have a smaller sound that has less dynamic range. The A1's will have a bigger room filling sound with much more dynamic range.
With these A1's, I wasn't surprised at the high quality of sound, I was expecting that, but I was surprised at how big they sound.
