The Darrel Ralph Large Klax is all about ergonomics. Sporting a handle that transitions from a thick pommel to a slim midsection, it’s extra comfy in the hand Read More
reswrightWell, lemme quote:
"Not True USA FLAG AND MADE IN THE USA IS ON THE REAR. Get the facts correct instead of smearing hard working AMERICAN companies for pay!"
So yeah.
A tad overpriced for the type of steel. For the price I would expect s30v or something. Could we also get more pictures of the sheath? The sheath is pretty important on a fixed blade, one photo won’t do.
BaccaBossMCIf I was going to pay above $100 USD for 440C, I rather buy something from Tops & no that is not an insult to Tops.
I actually don't mind some Tops knives just most aren't worth $100+USD when one has to factor in exchange rate.
Also, it's just standard kydex sheath, nothing special, how many more photos do you need?

BaccaBossMCThanks for your opinion. These sheaths are hand made. Thick, don’t rattle, carry upside down. We feel we are 160.00 LOW ON THE PRICE
I like Darrell Ralph but I need someone to explain to me how that's an ergonomic handle.
Maybe it feels much different in the hand than it looks. It looks like a case of tendonitis waiting to happen.
OthaAll about the bits and the close quarters combat tools with the retaining ring, so if you make one of any stripe, I'm interested. What steels do you work in now?
FourdayIts funny how when you have two first names, people always choose to call you by your last name as your first name.
Murphy's law for names I guess.
If I was going to pay that much for 440C, it would have to have been touched by the hand of God or Ray Ennis (Entrek Knives). That genius does things with 440C that others can't. He has a proprietary heat treat and I think cryo. And made in the US of A
Axeguy440C is a fine steel if heat treated correctly. It is not even that hard to heat treat. I would have to look up the details I do not think cryo will give any benefit to the heat treat, again I would have to look at the specs. Alot of the major knife manufacturers really ruined the reputation off 440 back in the day.
Just my humble opinion.
As much as l like moon glow, it's not very practical or durable on what is meant to be a field knife, sure it would look cool but wouldn't last very long since there doesn't appear to be any protective coating.
I'm also pretty sure there's no poly lacquer or resin to protect said moon glow.
Also, not sure a knife handle glowing nuclear yellow as opposed to nuclear green in the dark would add to whatever Hi Vis option the moon glow is meant to be as either colour would be easy to lose outside a low light area.
Otherwise not a bad looking knife in stock form which is potentially practical though still pricey for what it is.
Hope everyone has a great day !

"AN ERGONOMICALLY SOUND OUTDOORSMAN’S EDGE"
No.... and 440c at $135??
I don't think I've been offended by a knife until today.
There's a reason bushcraft and survival knives (outdoor knives) have the sort of handles they do.
On a handle like that, I relax the index and middle finger if I want an extended range of motion rotating the wrist. I think clamping down on the handle with those two fingers would eventually be very hard on the wrist. Just my observation. Results may vary. :)
