Solid piece. Does everything as advertised. BUT I did not read the note.
I bought it because I wanted an adapter for computers, 'flask discs', and chargers. Guess that it says in the note?
"Note: The TC28i will not work as an adapter for computers, flask discs, and chargers."
I totally deserved it lol But it's a solid gadget and it works well. No frills.
In a world where Apple still has not given up on the lightning port, this accessory is a must for any Apple user + audio enthusiast. It works as intended, looks great, and has a very small footprint. By far the best lightning to USB-c solution.
awesome for USB C portable DAC/AMPs for iPhones. The build is why I didn’t give it a 5 star review. It wobbles up and down ever so slightly when plugged in to phone. So be careful moving it around when it is plugged in.
So, I am not an audiophile by any means, I only recently started using higher quality equipment to enjoy music and the main source for my music are my Apple iPhone and iPad. I say that so you can appreciate the fact that I may be making a super dumb mistake here. I am announcing my ignorance. I thought this device would allow me to connect the number of USB-C audio devices (DACs/Amps/etc.) to my phone so I could use it without the larger Apple adapters, etc. But I cannot hear anything when I use it. I attach it to my iPhone 12, I use the micro-USB to USB-C cable that came with my Topping NX4 DAC/AMP and plug my headphones in and nothing, nada, zip. Is it me? Or did I get a dud? Here is a photo of my setup. Please advise if you can. I would appreciate it.
With respect to the adapter itself, seems well built, solid. Just not sure it works.
CubanchemIt’s the Toppings NX4. It doesn’t work well with Apple devices. I’ve tried iPhone 11 and iPad. It’s so inconsistent that I am giving up on it. Toppings tech will tell you you must only use Apple connector, which I did, but same result.
