I have a pair of dt990s coming in the mail in the next few days. I never listened to a beyerdynamic before and I was curious to try it at a discount used price I got. I wonder if I should get one of these to pair with it. I also have a m1060c with the stock headband — I just zip tied a hd600 replacement headband to the stock m1060c and it makes it comfortable enough but still not where I want it... I wonder if that may be something I can cut to size and fit this bad boy on.
DapperDanManZMF Pilot Pad works fine. Just compare the dimensions of that to this. If they're close, they'll work. I'm about to do that myself since I also have the 1060C and don't love its headband.
Edit: Apparently there aren't any published dimensions for this. Neither on drop or dekoni's site. I'll have to email someone I guess. Or maybe just spend the extra $10 and just get the Pilot Pad.
No...the foam deteriorated over the years, which reason I needed a replacement headband. The Dekoni headband was able to fit because there was little foam still there.
