Similar to some here, i bought the Earpadz and to be honest 90% of the original sound is kind of true. You dont lose the highs and mids which most replacement earpads do. To be honest bass is a bit less articulate, but just a bit than what you get with the original pads. Would recommend them to other people if the stock is replenished
WarningHPBI recently purchased this directly from Dekoni/Earpadz for my HD6XX. My original pads are in pretty good shape but I wanted to try these out because they advertise memory foam and increased comfort. While I think these replacements are a bit more comfortable, they definitely change the sound. They make the headphones less airy sounding, noticeably increase the bass, and make the highs really veiled. I switched back to the original pads.
WarningHPBYes, recently received and tested with original pads which have about 2 weeks of usage. Only thing that differs is a bit of the response in the bass, and not by much, but for me the way its presented with the original pads (referring to the sound as a whole) is just a smidge better. Agree with anyone else that mentioned that you retain about 90% of the original pad's signature sound. You can go for them, no problem.
If you can press down on the inner lip of the pad and get it around the baffle plate, the foam should friction fit it in place. I found that on mine it took a little extra force to get the ring fit snug unlike stock. Havent had any issues with them falling off
Has anyone had a chance to try these? I tried some Brainwavz a while back and they destroyed the sound. Sounded like I had water in my ears. I'd like some pads that area little more comfortable without mutilating the sound, but I've always heard pad swapping ruins all Sennheiser cans.
SpydieHolesForDaysThis is what they say in their own website;
''Dekoni’s line of Elite and Choice earpads have been a popular choice amongst listeners, but none have matched the stock sound signature until now! The Velour earpads for the HD600 series were designed as replacements for the stock pads with no impact on the sound of the headphones, all while working to improve comfort.''
I already ordered one, hope that's true.
SpydieHolesForDaysThey sound as close to the same as stock. They have a little less space for your ear to fit in- think they put in a little more foam in the pads etc. Its like the Great Value of sennheiser pads: just as, if not almost as good as the name brand
peaceful_distanceThey made Protein leather (which is far better than Polyurethane “Pleather”), sports Jersey, and Choice Leather material pads that work with the HD 560S. The Game One/HD 599 pads are compatible with the HD 560S.
