Take your headphones to new heights with the DAC-X6 Pro: an advanced desktop DAC/amp from Dilvpoetry. Sharing structural similarities with the popular DAC-X6 from FX Audio, Dilvpoetry’s new DAC/amp deviates in several key categories, namely its DAC and headphone amp chipsets Read More
I bought it from my local seller. It's a good entry DAC. Certainly better than the onboard PC sound card. It has given my 150$ headphones a new life. One minor gripe, the output on the back for the speakers kinda died, it's loosing it's output on the left channel. And also when the back output is plugged in, powered Headphone output is affected also, losing power.
So I'm no longer using it for my speakers. Headphone output still works solely plugged in.
Pity there are no actual tests or measurements of this version to see its actual performance. The original was pretty much what you'd expect for it's price - not great, but a good buy if you couldn't stretch your budget.
I might buy this just to use as a troubleshooting tool in my gear bag.
Often I am presented with digital gear that seems to be getting signal but it's not arriving.
Could be a clock issue, bad cable or something else.
Super nice if you can jump in the signal flow to confirm where it's being blocked.
But;
Wish there was a picture of the actual connections on the back?
Also, no specification about digital format.
16/24/32 bit?
44.1/88.2/192?
Not sure who wrote this marketing babble but only the AK4452 is an actual DAC. The other chips are the audio receiver and the operational amplifier, nobody who know anything about electronics would call them a DAC.
I wonder if this is a new revision or if the listing here is incorrect. The Dilvpoetry X6 Pro listed on Amazon here lists CM6642 + CS8416 + CS4398 DAC chips, not CS8416, AK4452, JRC5532 which is what is listed here, and Amazon listing reads OPA2134 instead of N5532 in the Drop listing, for the op-amp.
