I love this set of colorful stainless steel bowls. The plastic covers are great and fit snug. Perfect for daily use, mixing, salads, popcorn, leftovers etc.
Nice set of bowls. My wife likes em. The nesting ability allows for easy efficient storage. Color has stayed so far. Lids are also a nice addition also nest well for storage. Stainless steel is a little thin and the lids have warped a bit but still stack nicely, hence the 4 stars.
These are great if you not married to the color. if you are like me and reserve handwashing for only the most delicate of kitchen objects these bowls are not gonna keep their color and you have to clean the trap in your dishwasher more often but other then that they hold stuff and are good to go.
This set of bowls is exactly what we needed. The variety of sizes, the lids and the bright playful colors are what make it a genuinely splendid addition to our kitchen.
There was only ONE small glitch in the entirety of this set that I mention solely in the hopes that Elite Gourmet may see it. That when I opened the box, there were a couple of scratches through the color of a couple of the bowls. To clarify, I do not care as I expect that this is going to happen throughout the life of the bowls...that is if you intend on using them. What I am getting at is a suggestion to look at how the bowls are packaged for shipping, maybe a little more than the pieces of paper and plastic wrap separating the bowls, that's all.
That aside, how else can I compliment these bowls? If I'm staying honest, there's not a lot more. Do not mistake this for thinking them lackluster, far from it...they're just bowls though, not heart valves, or run-flat tires. They hold fluids and solids, they allow you to stir, or with the lids on (YES! Matching lids WOOT!!) toss salad, or pico de gallo, or well...what ever else you need to mix up real good.
The lids! Oh, how much do I Iike not having to dirty another container just to store leftovers? TONS! They are a tight fit without being impossible to remove. Plus...big plus, color matching...DANG!! no need to fret over grabbing the wrong lid from a poorly lit under cabinet.
Lastly? Storage. They all neatly nest within the next larger size. The lids fit nicely within the stack, keeping the limited space I have available for the countless wood or ceramic, hand-crafted, locally sourced, gluten-free, artisan bowls I am unable to pass on at craft shows.
When they come up again, buy them, unless you are picky about having 100% clean, blemish-free products. Though, to be fair, my set may have been the exception.
These colorful bowls are pleasant. I like the way the lids fit into the bowls, a bit below the lip. And I like the way the lids nest into each other for very easy storage. The aluminum is a little thinner than I'm used to for a mixing bowl. But in the description it says the bowls are "fitted with nonslip silicone bases" -- they are not. Looking at the product picture perhaps I should have figured this out, but I thought the silicone would match the color of each bowl and that's why it wasn't very visible. Either way, it shouldn't include that in the description if it's not accurate. I still look forward to using them for serving as the colors are so cheerful, but they won't be as useful for heavy mixing.
