Is It Compatable by Sony IER-M7?

Drop should convince Ety to make a run of shorter ones (say, 1.5-2'?) for use with Bluetooth receivers... Tho Ety make their own receiver now so that's probably unlikely.

ImpulsesAgreed. I was debating picking up the FIIO BTR5 + a balanced cable, and the short cable would have been nice for that purpose. I'm not sure I want to spend more money on the Ety BT cable compared to a cheaper BTR5 that is usable with all of my gear.

JudmasterchudYeah, I've had an ES100 for a couple of years myself (and preordered that new Qudelix receiver for fun)... Balanced out probably won't make a lot of difference unless the output impedance is much lower that way (I think it's ~1ohm vs 0.5 on the ES100, not very noticeable w/my MD Plus), but just having the short cable option at all would be nice. Finding short pre-built MMCX cables doesn't seem too hard, but 2-pin or Ety's custom keyed MMCX is much harder. I ended up getting one made by Forza for my 2-pin IEM, very nice but pricey. FWIW I think ClieOS on Head Fi often makes/sells short custom Ety cables for about the price of this balanced one at Drop (or less), I've been meaning to pm him. The keyed Ety housings for the IEM end of the cable are pretty easy to find on Ali if you wanna DIY, I'm just lazy and sloppy with a solder iron, heh. A 3.5mm/2.5mm receiver with a larger battery is definitely more versatile than stuff like Ety or Westone's cables, and often cheaper, even after adding the cost of a short cable. There's a certain sleekness to those solutions tho but eh...

does this cable add nominal impedance? does it lock into place like the stock er etymotic cable or does the mmcx swivel like other cables? my other cables do not fit my er3xr because of this

line_indetail picture shows locking lug . . . while pictures don't always show correct information, this is supposed to be an actual etymotic brand cable so it should be compatible.

line_inIt's made by Ety, they sell it for like 50% more, it has the key lock just like their stock cables.
