As somebody who owns (and loves) their pair of ER2SEs, is there a huge benefit to the ER4SRs? I've heard that they're SUPER similar and not really worth the upgrade....
Pretty effective passive noise cancellation because of the maximized insertion. I scrolled past these bad boys twice before doing a double take and realizing these aren't ear PLUGS....silly silly.
The XR is for extended response and refers to it having a little more bass than the SR. However, it is by no means a bass-heavy IEM. Most people think the XR is the more musical while the SR is more neutral, but the difference between them is not huge. I have the XR and it is a really excellent IEM.
My ER4XR arrived on Saturday and I was pleasantly surprised to find that the small Etymotic case was included. Everything else looked good other than one pair of foam tips was crushed so badly it will never return to original size - I may shoot an email to Etymotic. They sound great so far.
