When there’s no bright-red indicator and you can’t find any signs that point to a way out, you have to work together to escape. That’s the premise of this intriguing game for up to six players Read More
sunriserIndividually, yes. Most of them are sold for $9.95 or $10.95 (or were when I checked). I didn't price out every combination, but the first one I did came in at 6 EXIT games for $0.50 less than Massdrop. The price here is competitive, just not special.
Great games! It looks more expensive than the previous drop, but I also see that they added a 6th escape game. I've played The Abandoned Cabin separate from my purchase of this drop previously and it was pretty fun for my first escape game experience!
Played through two of them, don't think I'll go around and do the third. They are fun but often the riddles don't have enough there for you to make a solution, making the clue cards almost mandatory. They are almost ham-fisted with their answers or so convoluted you need to draw clue cards.
Drawing clue cards would be ok, but it goes from (You need xyz to answer this riddle) -> (have you tried obvious solution, realize that it didn't work, what weird thing could you have done to make it over) -> (if you hold the card vertically, upside down along the tick mark of the other card while balancing it over a mirror, then folding it in the shape of a dice then rolling the card three times the most probable output should be your solution)
Leaving aside whether this price is good or not, the game itself is really fun. My wife and I have played through all of these and are eagerly looking forward to the new releases. We've certainly gotten more than $11 worth of fun out of each.
JoshuaRoosEach of these games can be purchased from Miniature Market for $10.49 each (or $52.45 for all 5 + shipping) as of today. MM offers flat rate shipping of $5.99 (or Free Shipping if you spend more than $99).
Real_AtomskThere are some who have kept them intact (tracing paper, not permanently marking cards...), but once the mystery is solved, there's zero replayability for the players who played it. Might be able to hand it off to someone else for their fun...but you're done.
