It works marvelously, although I'm not sure what advantage this has over just a plain old jar. In any case, I'm satisfied and have been eating a whole lot of sprouted things.

My girlfriend can't get enough of this jar. I was originally going to keep it to grow sprouts at home so I could just have sprouts to eat. She's been sprouting everything we've been growing in the yard this year and everything's been thriving. I can't complain, especially when it's simple to use, and versatile too.

This is a well thought out design for growing sprouts. The unit and construction make the extra dollars you spend over using a mason jar with cheesecloth a worthy upgrade. No matter how you grow sprouts, make sure to properly sanitize the growing jar (and the seeds) before "planting." I would suggest getting a few of these - GEFU is a great looking device.
