Boasting Hamilton’s own H-40 movement with a power reserve of 80 hours, the Hamilton Khaki King is a stellar everyday watch you can dress down or dress up. The black dial dons military-time markings in the center with more-prominent standard Arabic numerals outside of them Read More
YutiNo "Swiss Made" at the bottom means its an ETA 2834 movement (same as ETA 2824) as opposed to the newer H-10 movement. Not sure which one this watch is, since the description and the pictures tell different stories. But, whenever it comes the H-10 movement will have a large H carved into the rotor on the back of the watch. H-10 movement has a 80 hour power reserve compared to the 38-40 hour power reserve on the ETA. The ETA movement also runs at 4 hz or 28,800 bpm. The H-10 runs at 3 hz or 21,600 bpm. So the ETA movement has a little bit of a smoother/sweeping second hand.
JohnHartfordBut what does that have to do with where it’s made? So your saying the eta based one is not made in Switzerland? Because all Swiss made watches will say Swiss made at the bottom.
lassetjusYep. I don't wear the same watch every day, and I can't really read the tiny date window on most watches anyway, so I mostly just don't set the date.
On this one you'd have to set the date every time you put the watch on, or you'd be looking at a giant "Saturday" when it was really Tuesday.
And I don't actually need any help knowing what day it is.
I have other Hamilton Khakis, but this one was always a "no."
