Much like a maestro must keep a musical ensemble in time, your watch is responsible for keeping you on time through your daily life. Just read all the "I wish" comments below and thought I'd add mine:
Nice watch, I wish is was solar powered, had a corresponding digital display with alarm functions, a unidirectional bezel and khaki silicone strap--I'd be all over that baby!
I like this one. But I also like my very similar Orient Bambino small seconds automatic in rose gold I bought just over a year ago, for a lot less. I'll just keep loving the Orient and pass on the Hamilton.
I like my Hamilton watches - reliable, look good, durable. I have two automatics and one quartz. I would definitely buy this one if I was not trying to improve my self control and curb my impulse buying. 😣
OMG--twice the price of the new Drop/Invicta 1960 collaboration watch?
Hamilton should ditch that expensive ETA movement and switch to the much less expensive Seiko mecha-quartz movement, and then cut the Jazzmaster's price in half, shouldn't they?
Huh? That would be crazy, wouldn't it? Except that was exactly the suggestion (IN-REVERSE) some members we proposing for the Invicta watch: dump the mecha-quartz, add a Valjoux movement, and then more than double the price of the watch!
Not sure what a watch might look like that would satisfy every member's idea of what a watch should look like, (and be made of),
--but I doubt it would be as cute as these two guys!
Solar powered charging of the battery that powers the straight-quartz movement--that's the way I would explain it.
It's a decent watch for sure, but don't fall for Seiko's product photography--the dial is only that blue under optimum lighting conditions. Check my shots for more truthful images ;- )
RayFThanks checked them out and you'er right the dial doesn't look so bright . Still don't mind the look but maybe more contrast around the dials would be better. But you can only buy what's available.
