At once vintage and avante garde, the Heritor Ganzi is a true showstopper. The first thing you’ll notice about it is the unique case shape and lugs, which look as if the watch is suspended in mid-air Read More
It's a great watch design , looks superb . I will check back in a few weeks as I have only had it on wrist for 1 hour but I do like the way it feels and looks ,, thanks .
beanerds2Oh well , as promised here is a few words on my time with the Ganzi .
5 months of rotational wearing for a week at a time and it's not missed a beat , its still keeping good time - 10 seconds a day which is more than good enough for what it costs , the leather strap has been dubbin'd a few times and has turned out to be very soft and supple and I am more than happy .
This watch as mentioned gets plenty of comments from friends and strangers alike , even non watch people can see it's different .
I have had one comment asking if its a ' Smart Watch ' ,, nah mate shes a genuine Automatic , fully mechanical and I really like it .
The looks are certainly controversial with a bulky case at about 15 mm thick, relatively big crown and an open heart mechanism covering almost the entire bottom third of the watch. The lugs make it look like a pocket watch conversion, which adds a certainly unusual character. The big date at 12 and the blue hands on an engraved pattern white dial complete this re-created vintage resemblance. Not a watch that you would expect to pay the $1000+ inflated list price for, but at $100, it can't go that wrong, right? In any case, it will be a conversation starter, and I'm sure I'll spend countless minutes mesmerized while I look at the moving balance wheel.
Lovely watch, but sadly doesn't remain wound for more than 24 hours after being worn, sometimes quite a bit less. I have another watch that holds a wind for 48 hours after full wind, and this would be better if it held time longer than it does. Otherwise a great-looking watch! For EDC should be fine, but if you want to switch between this and another, you're going to need an automatic winding storage option.
I've had my Heritor Ganzi for a few weeks now and have worn it several times. I have gotten countless compliments on it and many on how unique it looks. The aged bronze with the white face and brown strap really make the watch highly noticeable on your wrist. I love the way the watch looks like someone took an old pocket watch and turned it into a wrist watch. I know it is not really anything fancy, but the normal Joe around the office doesn't know...and I'm not telling! I'll give it 5 stars.
