Ever wonder why we keep seeing watches from the same revolving door of manufacturers? I asked ChatGPT about that and here's what she said:
"HERITOR and REIGN watches are both owned and distributed by Resultco, an American company specializing in fashion watches and accessories. Resultco manages a portfolio of approximately 17 to 20 brands, offering them to retail partners through a dropshipping model that handles fulfillment, returns, and marketing support .
🕰️ HERITOR Watches
Ownership: Managed by Resultco.
Design & Materials: Designed in the U.S., with components sourced globally—leather straps from Italy, stainless steel cases, and automatic movements from Japan and China .
Product Focus: Exclusively offers automatic and mechanical watches, avoiding quartz movements. Collections like the Montclair and Aura draw inspiration from vintage speedboats and stained glass artistry, respectively .
Business Model: Utilizes a dropshipping approach, allowing retailers to sell products online without holding inventory. Resultco manages logistics and customer service .
👑 REIGN Watches
Ownership: Also under Resultco’s management.
Brand Identity: Positions itself as a luxury lifestyle brand, emphasizing bold designs and craftsmanship.
Product Range: Offers automatic watches with features like skeletonized dials and leather bands. Collections include models such as the Olympia, Solstice, and Gage .
Sales Strategy: Employs the same dropshipping model as HERITOR, providing retailers with marketing materials and handling fulfillment.
🏷️ Other Brands by Resultco
In addition to HERITOR and REIGN, Resultco manages several other watch brands, including:
MORPHIC: Focuses on dynamic, minimalist designs.
Simplify: Offers simple yet stylish timepieces.
August Steiner: Known for affordable luxury watches.
Thomas Earnshaw: Features classic designs inspired by the legendary watchmaker.
Theorema: Provides innovative and stylish men’s watches.
These brands are part of Resultco’s strategy to offer a diverse range of timepieces catering to various consumer preferences.
If you’re considering purchasing a HERITOR or REIGN watch, it’s worth noting that while they offer appealing designs, some consumers have raised concerns about their value proposition. For instance, discussions on watch forums suggest that the retail prices may be inflated, with significant discounts commonly available . As always, it’s advisable to research and compare options to ensure you’re getting the best value for your investment."
BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY...
Resultco offers a virtual inventory system, allowing retailers to showcase a wide range of products on their websites without holding physical stock. When a customer places an order, Resultco handles fulfillment, shipping, returns, and customer service. This model enables retailers to expand their offerings with minimal investment and risk.
"Coyote ugly" is a slang term used to describe someone, particularly a non-canine female, who is considered extremely ugly. The phrase is often used in a derogatory manner to refer to a one-night stand partner who is later regretted due to their appearance. The origin of the term is unclear, but there are various theories. One theory suggests it stems from the behavior of coyotes, which may chew off their own limbs to escape traps, implying that someone would rather sever contact than deal with the person described as "coyote ugly". Another interpretation is that it refers to a person so unattractive that their partner would prefer to escape rather than wake them up.
Wow, that suggested retail price is ludicrous for this watch. This brand appears to be the equivalent of those watches you used to see advertised in the Sunday paper insert, in terms of design and sale price. Also ugly. Sorry.
"Sapphire coated mineral"...LMAO. I stopped right there and just laughed. Any half-decent watch at around 250$ has a proper sapphire crystal on it. This so-called "1000$ MSRP" watch is absolute trash, garbage movement, low reserve and so on. Even at 120$ I'd look into proper big brands like CASIO, Seiko, Orient etc that offer watches that obliterate whatever this piece of hot garbage is. Unless one really wants it for the clockwork-esque aesthetic. This watch is probably not even 100$ MSRP....which makes this look very scummy from the start.
Rowdy2026I have one of these. It is a bit different. But on the ugly per dollar ratio I figured I did a whole lot better than some Corum or Ebel examples . . . .
Well it looks pretty good depending on the model however the reference price is bogus unless they've spent like 530 USD on the exterior. You can find the movement here https://bit.ly/3oUGtBT and here https://bit.ly/2JGeUvW If you're fine with Chinese movement go ahead but the reference price is very incorrect
Wow, not even sure where to start on this one. I would guess that you either love this or hate it, no middle ground. IMHO, this watch is one of the most overly contrived watches I have ever seen. The face is TOO busy, the view from the exhibition back is blocked by it's overly large rotor, and the case, I can't put into words just how odd the case is. It's like it was designed by a teenager to look "classy". I am sure there are people who appreciate this, but I am not one of them. As Ray mentioned earlier, it's kind of the Pontiac Aztec of Automatic Watches. Does what it's designed to do, but so so so ugly
The movement is chinese with OK specs, had decent glass, but even at $110, it's over priced (by $110) because of the polarizing looks.
