Today i have received my pairs, this is veryy luxurious shoes that come in a very good quality box containing a black bag with a tie from the top.
everything i like about it very comfortable and good looking.
*** massdrop: the shoe box came in a mush bigger cartoon box that cause me an issue with customs, they think it is a big thing so they charge me a + $40, i used to order shoes before and many things also and this is the first time that i charged from cutoms, i wish in the future the delivery box is more fitteted to original box of the items delivered, thank you. This cause me a headach today.
Received notification that due to an "unexpected delay" the drop is not happening on time, ship date of June 11. There is 14 pairs of shoes in the drop, from May 14 when the offer closed. So, a month after the order was closed, there has been an unexpected delay with no other explanation or time-frame for delivery? Seems like bad business to me. I'm not asking for a return, but I'll definitely be hesitant before buying from Massdrop ever again.
Wow! These are large. I order shoes online a couple of times a year, never had this issue with size before now. When this re-drops, I recommend going down a full size. Like others have mentioned, these are clown-shows! Honestly, I can't wear these, no matter how nice they look.
They do run large, go down half. The insole is weird and it has some white material glued onto it. The heel doesn't feel like it grips at all and these would slip off easily. I guess I will grab a heel pad or something for that, It looks nice on the outside tho and I will definitely wear these but i think they will only be an option for different outfits and such.
I’ve also found these shoes are too large. I normally wear a 10.5 or an 11 depending on the brand, so I ordered an 11. As @ImHereForSeikos said, these feel a bit like clown shoes, sometimes to the point of being uncomfortable. I have a ridiculous amount of extra room in the toe box. I am going to attempt to make these more wearable by adding insoles and heel pads, but I would not recommend these shoes until this problem is addressed by the manufacturer.
Also, I’ve found the material to be a little disappointing. It looks nice, the color (Merlot) is beautiful, but it creases (after just one day of normal walking) in a way that makes it look cheap. I know that real leather creases, but I own plenty of real leather shoes and have not seen creasing quite as extreme as this. If this material is supposed to accurately imitate leather, then this is an unfortunate defect. This is probably exacerbated by the fact that the shoes don’t fit well on my feet. I’ve attached images of the creases.
Overall, I’m disappointed by this product but hope I can still get enough wear out of them that my purchase will be worth it.
My House of Future Low Tops just arrived today. Loved the box, presentation, and quality. Very soft and comfortable right out of the box. Pure white just like I wanted. I have a wide foot (I could technically wear E or EEE) and width is just fine, should work well with different widths. The issue, however, is the length. I've worn size 10 consistently in Nike, Clark's Desert Books, Reebok, and other brands (dress shoes are a completely different story as I got anywhere from an 8 in Allen Edmonds to a 9 in Florsheim). According to Euro specs, 43 = 10. But they feel a bit clownish on my feet. Would highly recommend DOWNSIZING by at least 0.5, if not a whole size, then translating to its Euro counterpart. For reference, I included a photo of the shoe aligned with other size 10s.
Just got them in today. Ended up going with a size 9 although I am usually an 8.5. They ended up fitting quite large. Also FYI the grey colorway is a lot darker in person, and the silhoutte is not as sleek as it appears in the product shots. If you are looking for a common projects competitor you may want to look elsewhere.
