The Full Spectrum of High-Res Audio Formats

The iFi Audio NEO iDSD Balanced DAC/Amp stakes its claim to fame in the audiophile world as one of the earliest adopters of all the major high-resolution formats: DSD512, 768-kilohertz PCM, 384 kilohertz MQA, and a whopping 96 kilohertz over Bluetooth. This, when taken as a set, makes it an excellent, full-featured DAC/amp combo capable of tackling as much resolution as you can throw at it. That Native DSD and PCM support is powered by the Burr-Brown 4-channel DAC chip at the core of the NEO, allowing for pristine, powerful digital conversion. On the output side, you have plenty of headroom with balanced and unbalanced options supporting up to a 112-decibel signal-to-noise ratio for both the main outs and the headphone outs. Both also sport an impressive harmonic distortion less than 0.0015 percent. That means that all that resolution on the front end translates to clean, well-supported output on the amp side.

Question
6.35mm balanced, 4.4mm unbalanced? This is unusual. Are you sure you are not mixing up the outputs?

You are right, this has to be a print error. 4.4 mm is balanced, 6.3 mm is unbalanced. There is not such thing as a 4.4 mm unbalanced or a 6.3 mm balanced.Read More

Question
I want to know how much output power it has, but in normal English that has been being used for the past 80 years. Meaning watts/milliwatts. What’s stated, on the XLR balanced output is - Output power (XLR): 6.3V/7.7V max variable, with Impedance (XLR) @ 100 ohms. Can someone educate my dumb ass and translate this? I understand that different cans have different impedance but should t this still have read the rated watts at 100ohms? Or a more popular rating like 32ohm? It feels like marketing jargon bullshit. Thanks
