I ordered the JH13V2 Pro through this drop and got my shipment notification today. It shows the IEMs shipping from Shenzhen China. JH Audio shows on their website that all of their IEMs are manufactured in Florida (and I confirmed that by telephone). I'm curious why my order is shipping from China (to California) if these are new JH Audio manufactured units. I have plenty of Chinese manufactured IEMs and like them very much, but expect a factory JH Audio IEM for this drop. Can anyone explain why these are coming from China?

Seems like you should have a choice on the cable termination...balanced please.

Let's sell you a $750 iem and give you a 0.35 cable with them. That's a great idea. I'm tired of these companies giving shitty ass cheap cables with headphones and IEM's their charging an arm and leg for. If tin audio can give a beautiful, well constructed, 8 core cable with a $60 pair of in ears that sound awesome I'm sure these other companies can suck it up and give the people a decent one as well for their hard earned money. Just sayin.....

Do any of you (Uzuzu and Solderboy23) have Moon Audio cables so that you can have real opinion?

Nlalkwhat a valid point you speak of. I'm sure their silver cable will sound better than my homemade one to same spec. I'll be honest with you, cables make zero difference unless it's copper vs silver, there's no cable magic going on period, now go fling some monkey doodoo

JH IEMs are excellent but hard to recommend in universal form. They are massive and extremely fit dependent. Unlike most bigger IEMs where at worst, you can just jam it in until you get a seal, these require you to fit them at a specific angle. For some with smaller ears, this is near impossible and for others, it will require at least some tip rolling and adjustments every time. I've spent years with my JH-AK Laylas and still struggle with it. This is why so many people have the impression that JH IEMs especially the bigger ones (Layla, Roxanne, Angie, etc.) sound veiled or muffled. Most are using the Astell and Kern UIEM version and probably never got them to fit properly. I've never heard anyone complain about the CIEM version. JH's own universal line does it better than the AK versions but still suffer from the same issue. JH also like to go a bit wild with the tuning; The full-bodied JH house sound is always present but the signature can be very diverse. The Layla and Roxanne for example, uses the same driver and crossover config but sound very different. If you're considering buying these, I recommend sampling them first to ensure you can get them to fit properly and the signature is to your liking. Don't worry about missing out here; This deal is pretty meh and JH has similar discounts year-round.

ccm220they've addressed the size issue and reduced it by 30% (if i recall correctly) for the Roxanne AION to be released later this year. i guess there's a reason why they're liquidating their stock here

DicloneusYes, the Layla is getting an Aion version as well partnered with AK but as with anything I'll believe it when I've tried it. As I mentioned, the biggest issue with the universal line is not the size but rather how difficult it is to get the optimal fit; The size just adds to that issue. I also don't like how they've opt'd for a new proprietary connector that looks even less accessible for cable makers than the previous 4-pin one.

Fairly ordinary savings here of 20 - 25% off retail with slow shipping. Nothing to write home about, misses that massdrop discount factor that would make me jump..

Seems to be a good deal. Much cheaper than the retail price on their website. I'm really hesitating whether or not to buy one…

JH16v2 seems very close to Noble K10 as far as response goes.

teandroI own the custom version of the jh16v1. And it has a substantial amount of bass, quite different from the noble k10 in my opinion.
