After talking to a representative at Julbo about choosing the right lens tint for mountain biking, I chose the Zebra Light Red lens. Feedback from pro mountain bikers using their lens have indicated the red lens seems to provide a little better contrast in low light situations. I'll also be using this for night riding but of course have some significant high lumen lights I'll be using. FYI: 75% of visible light comes through in darker shade conditions (SPF1) vs. 15% visible light coming through in sunny conditions (spf3).
Go here for a demo of the view through the lens in different light conditions: https://www.julbo.com/en/sunlens-simulator.html
Scroll right until you come to Zebra Light and then click on the lens in the center. They don't have the red lens there, but this will give you an indication of the view in different lighting conditions
Any ideas on how to choose the lens color? I'm stumped. Each lens is going to give a different tint. Is it just all about one's preference?
