For those of you who plans to buy this, I bought two of these last round. They were shipped out to me from US to Hong Kong on the 22nd Nov, it arrived at Frankfurt Germany on the 25 Nov, and... it has not moved for a whole 2 weeks : )
Don't ask me why it's in Germany, I am guessing the people at DHL Frankfurt are probably as clueless as me. ^______________^
MunnybearYeah I've had a few DHL packages in the past decide that Germany was the hot place to hang out for a week, despite the fact that they shipped from hong kong to be delivered to the US
MunnybearYes this is why I avoid DHL at all costs. Two years in a row I had a package go from Chicago to Germany, only to stay there for well over a week before moving. One arrived about 3 weeks after it shipped. The other took a month and missed Christmas.
Get this: I live in CANADA. Do domestic USA shipments do the same thing? That would be amazing... lol
MunnybearWhy does massdrop use dhl anyway? Especially for US domestic shipments. I've never actually seen anyone say good things about dhl -- their price, speed, tracking, anything.
FarragoNo idea, I kinda feel it has to do with the type of shipping arrangement MD has made with DHL. For example, if you buy something from some of the more mainstream retailer, they also use DHL, but things will arrive within 3-5 working days. Given far fetch charges me 80 HKD for shipment from Europe for a pair of shoe with free return... I am not sure why MD charges more but also requires more time to deliver.
MunnybearI'm also waiting for a MD package that is currently stuck in Germany and has been for 8 days... It shipped the 2 Dec from the US so i had good hope to get it for holidays but it might not happen. If it doesn't, i won't do business with MD again, even if i have nothing against them, but it's too much time lost into Germany, specially when you're in a bordering country.
