Nothing against Just Mobile or Massdrop (I enjoy patronizing the latter), but I use and recommend this cheaper banana stand instead of this "HeadStand":

From all the headphone stands I've seen on Massdrop, this is probably the best looking one and the most reasonably priced.

This looks nice enough, but it's pretty unnecessary when you can find alternatives for less than half the price. As someone said, banana hangers work well, and I found a nice, heavy based, free standing toilet paper holder for $12.95 at Marshall's. Works great for both my K7xx and OM2s.

ChicosnowThis made me think to try to use my towel holder. The base is not wide enough and can tip over with only one headphone on. I center it but having headphones falling on the floor is worse than leaving them on a flat surface. It's nice to see what a stand would look like though.

I was in on the last drop. It looks nice enough and it feels sturdy but it isn't very tall so if you have large phones with straight plugs like my HD 600s you might have trouble getting them to lay right while on a table. Some have suggested shortening the band but I'm not doing that every time I want to hang my phones! I have the stand on the edge of a table so the cables can safely hang lower but they do still lean up against the base. I just have to be careful. It's fine with my Grados but with longer phones you may have to get creative (or just get a different stand). The Woo Audio adjustable is really nice.

Agreed--can't imagine why someone would pay more for a single-sided unit unless they were sure they'd never own more than one set of headphones. Anyway--very good taste on your part ;- )

For those of you who plans to buy this, I bought two of these last round. They were shipped out to me from US to Hong Kong on the 22nd Nov, it arrived at Frankfurt Germany on the 25 Nov, and... it has not moved for a whole 2 weeks : )
Don't ask me why it's in Germany, I am guessing the people at DHL Frankfurt are probably as clueless as me. ^______________^

MunnybearI'm also waiting for a MD package that is currently stuck in Germany and has been for 8 days... It shipped the 2 Dec from the US so i had good hope to get it for holidays but it might not happen. If it doesn't, i won't do business with MD again, even if i have nothing against them, but it's too much time lost into Germany, specially when you're in a bordering country.
